Mission

As Albania prepares to open Accession Negotiations with the European Union, there is a growing need for in-depth information and preparation of groups directly affected by this process. The Center "Academy of European Integration and Negotiation" is to contribute to the preparation of a European Society in Albania based on the principles of respect for the rule of law, human rights, freedom, free economic enterprise, solidarity and civic participation, through education, training and capacity building of representatives of different sectors and citizens involved and affected by reforms and process of European Integration in Albania.

In fulfilling its mission and goals, AIEN will work particularly in the following areas:

Increasing the Albanian public awareness on European values, principles of the European Union construction and multi-dimensional role of Europe's role in the globalization process and crisis management;

Supporting the ongoing process of European integration of the Republic of Albania and the vision of a European Albania;

Identifying and promoting the interests of the Republic of Albania in the integration process, considering the challenges and fulfillment of obligations;

Objective and analytical analysis of policies developed and / or implemented for different economic and social sectors comparing them with the respective European policies

Preparation of economic, social and legal studies in order to promote a functioning market economy and rule of law;

Encouraging understanding, mutual recognition, diversity and free communication between people, communities, organizations and groups in need, in creating a platform of dialogue for the future of Albania in the European space;

Increasing transparency and accountability of institutional structures involved in the accession process;

Strengthening the capacities of the various sectors in the country to develop the country's European integration policies based on the Copenhagen EU membership criteria and accession negotiation chapters;

Development of the civil society, capable and prepared to face the challenges that Albania will face in European Integration and its involvement in the realization of the "Citizens' Europe" vision

Setting up a "Network of Professionals and Experts" for EU membership;

Strengthening cohesion and interconnection between experts, professionals, citizens in tackling difficult integration issues to achieve a common success;

Encouraging good neighborhood relations and regional cooperation based on common European aspirations;

Developing cross-border dialogue on issues concerning the future of the region;
